Former UBS wealth group joins RBC, bringing $430 million in client assets to Georgia
Atlanta, 6 February 2026 – The group, known as Wilson Wealth Management, has opened a new branch in Alpharetta, Georgia, further strengthening RBC’s reach in the greater Atlanta region. The team serves high-net-worth individuals, including clients from the entertainment industry as well as business owners.
Wilson Wealth Management is led by managing director and financial advisor James “Jimmy” Wilson. The team also includes senior financial associate Ryan Nicholas Kopec, senior registered client associate Kristin Michelle Wint, and senior client associate Megan Harris. Together, they offer wealth planning, investment management, and client advisory services.
RBC Wealth Management US said the addition reflects its ongoing growth strategy in the South Atlantic region. Since 2020, the firm’s South Atlantic Complex has steadily expanded, reporting a 28.5 percent increase in financial advisor headcount over the past five years.
Across the United States, RBC Wealth Management US now operates 195 offices in 43 states, continuing to build scale through targeted advisor recruitment. Earlier this year, the firm added the Rottenberg Wealth Management Group in Florham Park, New Jersey, which brought in $4.4 billion in client assets. That team also transitioned from UBS.
Industry observers note that experienced advisor teams are increasingly moving firms in search of stronger platform support, broader investment solutions, and enhanced client service capabilities. For RBC, attracting established teams with significant assets is a key part of its long-term growth in the competitive US wealth management market.
With its latest hire in Georgia, RBC Wealth Management US continues to deepen its regional presence while reinforcing its position as a destination firm for advisory teams focused on personalized wealth management and long-term client relationships.
